Eowyn, because everyone loves shieldmaidens.

Tom Bombadil is the craziest, smartest, and most powerful creature in Middle Earth who doesn't care about any of it. And he has the best songs.
Legolas cause he's most like me tall and good looking. Also after the books I looked everywhere to find my elvish name.BTW its Aerandir and for 10 years I used it on all my RPG games lol!

Gollum is the most interesting, but sometimes I prefer Eowyn. As much as I love LotR, the usual suspects (Gandalf, Legolas, Aragorn etc) are just monotonously noble-hearted and indestructible. I always hated Tom Bombadil, it's like he got ported in from a different and much sillier book.
No love for evil characters? :P Ive always been a fan of the Witchking of Angmar. I guess if I had to choose a favorite good character itd be a toss up between Bilbo or Aragorn.
Aragorn has a good heart, strength and wisdom to help others, but he has his moments of self-doubt too. That's what makes him endearing to me. :D
How can you say this list contains characters from the Silmarilion?! There's only one real one that I can see. Where're Beren and Luthien? But Aragorn is still my favorite.
Boromir because he is just trying to do the right thing and he is flawed. His brother shows us the true reality of what could be.
