There's a couple books here that I've been meaning to read for sometime but I've voted for The Scar as even though I've really liked the Miéville books I've read I never seem to find time to read more of them.

Just out of curiosity, is "The Scar" a stand alone that just happens to be in the same universe? It says it's the second in a series."Stand-alone in the same universe. I've been told it's the best Miéville book to start with.
The Scar takes place after Perdido Street Station and refers back to PSS a little in the beginning, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone (incidentally it's my favourite of Miéville's New Crobuzon books).
Kim, i keep meaning to get back to new crobuzon, too, and if this one is even better than PSS...cool!
I went with The First Book of Swords as it a book I pulled from my parents shelf ever intending to read, and have never quite gotten around to it.
I've read both Saberhagen and Anthony (a long time ago) and really enjoyed them. I picked one that I hadn't read yet so this should be interesting
