Yay! Thank you, Jill :) While I'm not entirely sure that my campaign is working, it's nice to see that some people have indeed come out of the shadows to at least lend their vote! Again, thank you!

Let's face the fact that we are more than just an online community now.
And YES, F2F attendees should have MORE say on the books being read, because they are the ones actually reading and discussing the book with fellow Filipinos - which is one of the main purposes of this group.
I think the poll is there to encourage those lurkers to participate (even in online discussions). This group does not OBLIGATE us to attend F2F. It only hopes that when we vote in the poll, we are responsible enough with our book choice.
Pag gusto may paraan; pag ayaw, maraming dahilan.
But why are we talking about technicalities here?
Let's just read and have fun!
After much consideration, I voted for The Secret Garden, I read this book 21 years ago and, as I can't remember the story anymore, I'd love to read it again. Besides, I don't think I'll be able to read the other two books... I think it would just make me fall asleep, the way LotR did [a pity since I own a copy of the books] waaah :(

I was about to give a nod to the book buddy read, but then I've been wanting to read the The Pickwick Papers first, considering that happy little scene that Laurie laughingly discovered that one time! Haha! :D
