I exclusively read on an iPad Mini. I previously had 4 Kindles ( a successsion of Kindles as new ones came out) and gave them all away.
I Have an Ipad and I prefer reading on Ipad as the screen has larger aread and so u would get a feeling like reading in the book due to its features!
Kindle paperwhite till I die! It's so great, and u can read in direct sunlight or midnight without any problems at all! Luuuuuuv it! Also, it's small and compact and good for travel.
This is a no brainer for me. The Kindle win hands down for reading. I mean that's what it's made to do, right?
I have a 1st generation NOOK. My hubby got for me the for Christmas when it first came out and I LOVE it!!!! It is the best gift ever!!!! I use it EVERY day :)
I prefer my ereader but that might be because I don't have an iPad mini. It is the weight of a full iPad that stops the enjoyment. Maybe I need to buy an iPad Air or a mini.
Me gusta leer en mi Nook Color, pero no tengo pretexto para no hacerlo en el iPad mini. Me gusta ambos formatos, pero no cambiaría el poder leer un libro y sentir su agradable olor a páginas humedas.
My iPad is so bulky and heavy in comparison to my Nook Simple Touch. The battery life sucks in comparison, I could never make it a whole way through a book without having to attach it to the charger. Plus I would get distracted by the easy access to social media.
Love my BeBook. When it broke down last year I searched the whole internet to find a new one. Have a small one for travels and a big one for reading at home. The iPad is just too hard on the eyes to read a long time.
I prefer reading books on my e-ink Kindle. I use my iPad as more of a laptop. When on the go, though, I take my iPad Mini and use it for both. If I'm going anywhere I'll be reading a lot, I'd just take the Kindle with me, though. E-ink is easier on the eyes, and it seems like I'm reading faster, whether or not that's true (I have no idea).
I know I'm way late to this discussion, but I love my Kindle Paperwhite. I own (and use) my old school Kindle, my Kindle Paperwhite, my iPad and my iPhone for reading, and the Kindle Paperwhite wins hands down. ! :)The Kindle Paperwhite is light, easy to hold in one hand, illuminated (but not back-lit) for ease of reading in the dark (no need for a book light), and (because of the way it's lit) it creates absolutely no eyestrain. Its touch-navigation is intuitive and easy-to-use -- much easier than the old-school keypad and arrow buttons on the original Kindle. But it also doesn't have all the distractions of the Kindle Fire and iPad.
Also, in airplane mode, I can go weeks on the same battery charge (can't beat the battery life).
I love my Kindle Paperwhite: it is by far the best choice for me! :)
i wish there was a better option for e-ink- one that was not proprietary but there isn't so even though i gave away my e-ink nook a couple years ago, i just bought a new one a couple days ago, i hate reading on a back-lit screen.
Rebecca wrote: "Much less eye fatigue with e-ink. Reading on the iPad results in burning eyes. Plus: my Nook is much lighter and easy to hold at any angle and in any position, like lying on my back in bed."totally agree- i realized i went from easily reading 2-3 books a week w/ paper or e-ink 2 reading 1 book every 2 months w/ my tablet.
I love my Nook Color, but I agree, sometimes I get a glare & it makes it hard to read. It's great being able to pack around so many books; however, now I find I have a hard time finishing one before starting another.
I have a nook, which I love, but also have a kindle app in addition to others. So I can read any book in most any format that I want.
I always forget that I have an ereader, I got a nook for my 19th birthday,I dont buy books for mine as I am able to use my local library to take out books they have on their system. I have also been able to find free books all over the web.
my iPad min i should say instead of an iPad its great and light so i can take it where ever i need to
Cant beat the Kindle paperwhite for reading on.Would never invest in a Ipad as I hate everything apple(they are way too greedy).
Conner, just how does the e-book that I am reading take the fun out of the paper book that you are reading? I fail to see how my choices affect yours.
I love the simple touch Nook and now I have the Nook glowlight. I know B&N is supposedly in trouble and all but just the fact that the nooks handle epubs cinches it for me. I will weep bitterly if B&N goes under. I also have a Nook HD+ which my girlfriend has commandeered.
I prefer my iPad because I have iBooks, kindle and nook all on it. I use my kindle or nook as a backup when my iPad needs to be charged.
Kindle x 1000! I hate reading on the backlit ipad. It really hurts my eyes and is not good for them I'm sure.
All the way Ipad, iphone etc. i had android, kindle, nook and no one can top Apple products. Well made and more. I use Overdrive, ibooks, podcasts, audible, nook, kindle and more on the Ipad. All sync together. Have ZERO problems reading on my IPad. Worth every penny and more! Just upgraded to the air and fantastic. I plug in earphones at night and listen to Audible. I can read or listen to books while i am working in the house on the ipod or driving. Never going back unless something radically changes with Apple! Did I mention quality of the product.
I usethe Kindle App on my iPad. It's the best of both worlds!
I have a kobo, primarily for size. I can easily carry it in my pocket. The screen is easier on my eyes.
I have a Nook, but read almost entirely Kindle books any more using the app on my iPad or my phone. I like being able to switch between them, and I love the way I can go back and forth between the book I'm reading and the audiobook version in my car.
In my country, iPad is only the available .
