That was a hard choice! Could have happily voted for at least 5! Anna Karenina is one of my favourite books of all time (also the only one I have read!)

I agree with Gayle, it's a (very) hard choice :-) For me it was between Anna Karenina, War and Peace, The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment and Doctor Zhivago. I bought Doctor Zhivago years ago but never got around to reading it, which is why I picked it.
