Chris, how long are you able to wear shorts there? First frost here is usually in October and I sure look forward to it.
If you're hearty you can wear 'em into October and begin in April-May depending on the weather. Our shorts season is too ... SHORT! I loved my winter in Tempe ... can't afford to keep going back, though.
Definitely fall. The atmosphere is so cozy and I love the culture of it all! Nothing is better than bonfires, hoodies, pumpkin everything, crispy mornings, chilly nights, and the leaves changing color. Fall is just the best! Spring would be second because by then I'm excited for warmer weather and I love being able to open my windows again and watch everything come back to life! With winter and summer I go back and forth. Summer I don't like because along with it comes bugs (primarily spiders), yard work, and horrible, awful humidity. For winter once the holidays are over, it's just cold and dark and depressing. I do love the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it. HATE ICY ROADS. But I don't have the bugs. So I would say winter wins out by a very narrow margin, but with those two, I always want whatever I'm not in :)

spring us my favourite season because the weather is not too cold nor hot it is the perfect weather plus all the flowers that pop out are so beautiful. because where I live there is not that many flowers, so bees cant pollinate then that makes less and less honey. And who doesn't love honey
Autumn: You get some nice sunny days to go outside on long walks or hikings, but you also get rainy days which offer you a perfect "excuse" to spend the day in your armchair with a good book or five, and a cup of tea. Also the danger of sunburns when outside lessens exceedingly, and all kinds of fruit and vegetables ripen now to get harvested.
Autumn is Nature's blaze of glory before winter, with the vibrance of the season, how can one not be inspired.
My favorite season is summer because summer is warm, and I'm able to go outside more often in the summer.
Fall. I love the color of the changing leaves, the crisp feel in the air, and the temperature. When I do go to the mountains, it's usually in the fall. It just seems like the perfect place to go in the fall, so that's why fall feels special to me, too. :)
Hmmm, I may reconsider my vote in light of the hot and muggy Global warming summer we're having. Today is Sept. 5th and it's been in the mid-eighties. Too hot for Maine in September ... I'm waiting in vain(so far) for Fall to start arriving.
Today it snowed some more on Pike's Peak and the high was 61 here below it. I felt much better than usual.
Summer, you spend less calories to heat up your body so you'd have a lot more energy and motivation to do things.
This was a hard choice for me! I love spring - things starting to wake up, warm up, recolor a dreary world... but fall also has beautiful colors, warm beverages on chilly nights, the smell of burning leaves...
Fall is a relief after the intolerable, humid heat of summer. The trees turn beautiful colors and the year is new, full of potential. I love the wind whipping coolness in the air and the change to a fall wardrobe. I love needing to put on a jacket.
normally I should say summer, but opting for one season is like answering which parent or child you like most. winter (at least sometimes...) is pure, spring is hope, summer means power and autumn richness and serenity. so...
I love fall and spring for the same reasons: the weather is perfect and the colors of those seasons are beautiful.
Early to mid fall. Bugs are less of a problem, most tourists and summer people have gone home. Beautiful leaf colors.
Michaela wrote: "Autumn, because it's the season of endings, bittersweet goodbyes, fading beauty, and the conjuring of resolve to withstand winter."YES! that says it all!
Winter, I love the longer darkness and the atmosphere of gloomy weather, and the season is in keeping with my tendency towards horror.
Michele wrote: "Fall, I can sit outside and read, and the fall is just a time of year and everything is romantic. Although Texas only has Summer and Winter."LOL! I agree and only about 3 days of winter. I love fall too as there is less pollen and the colors of the leaves are so wonderful. I am also liking winter more and more.
Summer because it stays light really late and I can get outside in the sun and be one with nature. I love hiking and observing nature.
I love spring because everything comes back to life. Your winter blues melt away and everything starts blooming. The animals look more healthy. You can hear the birds chirping and i have ground hogs in my back yard. They never disappoint, babies every spring.

It depends mostly on everybody's state of mind. all my best!
I chose Fall because it has lot's of color, it's very beautiful, the weather is perfect, and there is plenty of fun things to do. :-)
Mine is summer cause of the good temprutere to do outdoor activites and you get to swim in the beach and eat ice cream the best part is "School Is Of For 2 Months"

It's very much alike.

Yes I have. I have been all around the world.
I love autumn, because I love pumpkins, cooler weather, changing colors of leaves, and thanksgiving!
Winter, for sure. The cold chill of the air and the wind makes me feel awake and energized, although I wish there was more snow where I live. I like it because, even though I love colors, the grayness of everything makes the blue of the sky stand out even more.

Chris, I..."
Yeah, but you don't live in Maine!
