The Blair Witch Project is my absolute faaaaaavvvvvvvvv. The silence of the lambs is so haunting and just such a good watch and I really like the Babadook

I'm seconding all these people saying The Nightmare Before Christmas, watched it recently for the first time and LOVED it!!

Oh, and Coraline is really good too!

Definitely the nightmare before christmas or the corpse bride !! (tim burton is PERFECT for halloween)

My dad and I just watched The Sixth Sense last night and I normally don’t like horror movies but it was SOOOOO good, can’t recommend it enough!! Only rated PG-13 but be ready for some jumpscares and the ending twist is INSANE.

There were a few that came to mind but they're all rated r, soo maybe not horror but Parasyte is good too, regarding the whole thing going down, but there are some uncomfortable scenes lol so maybe not.
Weapons (2025) also rated r :C
Train to busan is rated r too so nono, but is good too.
