Maybe try a warm honey/water solution and 1 part honey to 9 parts water. Make sure the solution is warm and the honey is diluted enough in the solution. Try room temperature fruits and tiny tiny bits of whatever you have.

ik they eat oranges or any fruits mostly!! also it might not be able to drink the sugar water bc butterflies taste through their leg and if its injured it might have a difficult time. my mom bought me and my sister this kit a while ago where they give you caterpillars and you get to take care of them when they turn into butterflies so i can help with any questions if u need!

it's better to keep negative opinions to yourself if you don't want to vote or help then don't but there's no need to comment and say it's unnecessary. I understand how you think it's not rude, but some people will think it is because they assume you don't care about what they are trying to get help on. Maybe they don't have access to people with experiences like this outside of Goodreads. You never know a person's situation unless they tell you.

since the butterfly's leg is injured I suggest trying to hand feed. try a fruit or honey solution instead since it has stronger scent. It may struggle to grip things so providing stable surfaces are good. if it still refuses to eat use a toothpick to uncurl it's mouth part the proboscis and put it to the paper towel or cotton swab that should help it find the food and it will probably immediately start drinking if it hasn't eaten in a while.

it's sarcasm. and yeah, i get that it's your personal opinion but instead of fussing about why they made a poll can you instead just focus on what shes asking help for? if you can't help then just move on, no one asked you to say all that it's not helping
