I love In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune, it's such an amazing book and it's one of my favorite books ever! Also, the ONLY 5 stars book I gave this uear was How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Welxer!

My first 5 stars and favorite read (so far) of 2026, is The Will of the many!! It was so good!! If you do end up reading, I suggest to do a immersive read, atleast for part 1. The world building and magic system can be a bit confusing in part 1 so it helped me a lot to get through it. But once you start part 2, you are immediately hook.

hihi minnie !! omg first of all 3 months is actually insane.. like someone pinch me because 2026 felt like an actual fever dream 😭 okay but as for books recs and such.. anything ann liang but definitely this time its real and if you could see the sun, these two are sososo precious to me 🫣 okay also you need to read shadow reaper by lynette noni i just finished it today and 🤭 lynette is actually feeding us!! the second book to that series actually comes out march 2027 but idek if i can wait that long.... before the exhale by alyssa wilde was actually so emotionally heartbreaking but also sososo good, def give that a try as well!! okay last rec because ik im rambling but a show for two by tashie bhuiyan 💗🥹

Oookay, so after browsing through your shelves (lil stalker me) I see you haven’t read one of the best fantasies EVER and that is This Woven Kingdom - please, the the world building, the writing, the FMC, the romance ✋

I would also recommend Axie Oh’s XOXO and ASAP !! They’re Kpop romances hehe- palate cleansers and really cute YA romances 💜

Also, The Prison Healer trilogy. This one is heavily plot focused and THE PLOT IS 🤌

hello minnie! 🐝 i've missed you so much, i hope you're doing well <3 that 2026 soon is over is crazy, it feels like it was january 1st yesterday. but i am literally so ready for a new year to begin, because this have been...everything but good to say the least.

ok so now to the book recs! (my fav part hehe). i would recommend any ann liang book, because her books is just so cute & whimsical 🥹 then if you haven't read the crimson moth duology — you have to! (ps: i haven't read the second one, a possible buddy read?). it's the best romantasy i've read ever 💘 and you've probably alr read this series, since it's so popular & maybe niche to say this but, the inheritance games!!! ladies and gentleman let me tell you the best series i've ever read in my whole life. period. i love love love the characters, the mystery, the plot, the short chapters, gawh only thinking about it makes me want to re-read!! the lara jean trilogy is saur sweet too 🥧💮

that being said, i hope you have a few recs (and that i will be on your 2027 = a privilege) 💝 i love you tons, xx appie <3

Omg the The Ruling Class Duology by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is PEAK and soooo underrated and I just finished it but The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde was absolutely brilliant and I would def recommend it hehe 💝

^ I agree with this comment. When it comes to reading classics (which you planned to do) Dostoevsky is my personal favourite Victorian era author, who wrote many well-known classics. I would advise to read his novellas first to get to know his writings style (best done by reading the P&V translation) and to find out if you enjoy his psychological and philosophical stories. The best pick for your usual reading taste would be White Nights. It also has two film adaptions with the same title. One released in 1957, the other released in 1960. I personally prefer the 1960 film adaption.

If you liked this novella, you might as well read The Dream of a Ridiculous Man (reads like a fever dream) and The Eternal Husband.

and idk if u have read twilight or not but if not u NEED TO its a classic I literally quote that book every day and think abt it everyday lolll
Also one dark window by rachel gilig is AMAZING it has the most uniques magic system!! its dark gothic romantasy its SOO good and uniquee on of my favv duologies

✧ a forgery of fate by elizabeth lim is a whimsical underwater retelling of beauty and the beast involving dragons and east asian mythology i think you’ll enjoy ☺️

✧ the priory of the orange tree by samantha shannon is a high fantasy book that is so worth your time! the world is amazing and the characters are so loveable <3

✧ thought i’d second the lord of the rings by j. r. r. tolkein (i saw it above somewhere) - genuinely one of my favs of all time and best movie trilogy ever if you like high fantasy this is exactly what you need xx

✧ foul lady fortune by chloe gong for when you finish these violent delights duology 😘

✧ unsure if you’ve read cinder by marissa meyer but if you haven’t this is an absolute must read of fairytale retellings! <3

✧ six crimson cranes by elizabeth lim is the last thing on this list and another east asian inspired fantasy romance that i hope you’ll love!
