im pretty sure her books romanticize abuse

i read one of her books (ik, ik) and it was just rly weird and gross the entire time and it romanticized adultery and i hated it.

I’ve read it ends with us and regretting you, but in it ends with us I know there’s a lot of violence and abuse but at the end she left him, so I think the book is more about to take care of oneself and showing that violence isn’t okay. But I agree with you guys it’s gross but I don’t think she deserves hate for being controversial in her writing

I think some of it is how she's written male characters to be "passionate" and "flawed" and instead they are just super abusive under false labels. And not writing trigger warnings for anything/false marketing (like claiming a book is a fluffy romance when it's all about a domestic abuse relationship).

i think she also defended her son who's a supposed rapist and allegedly blocked or ignored her the accuser after they had reached out

In one of her books she romanticizes abuse and just alot of her books are about problematic things or have problematic relationships in them. I read a few of her books a while ago and yeah there was just alot of weird themes in them

other than the scene in one of her books where the fmc and the mmc are discussing where their kid gets some of its genes from and the fmc says that the kid's balls are huge so defn from the dude - mmc, i think she also tried to defend her son who's been accused of SA

Well, its different for each book, but the thing is is that there's SOMETHING in every one. Really really BIZARRE, romanticized. portrayal of things like people using each other for sex, adultery, literal murder, drunk driving, lots of cheating, there's more I don't remember.
I looked into all her books when my YOUNGER cousin recommended her to me. I'm worried about her. Everything's portrayed just so toxically...

You should read the 1 star reviews for her books. That'll give more specific insight.

I do t know how to explain it but 1 star reviews should help but there’s also this booktuber who explains it along with other bad things authors have done I don’t remember her name but she says Aaron Warner is her husband ( she has a cardboard cutout) and she says she’s to good for her boyfriends and that he’s not Aaron Warner so she won’t kiss him

Yeah I saw that. It's mostly talking about how big their son was getting and basically family incest happened, apparently.

@Alyss yea i do read 1 star reviews of hers sometimes, it makes me so sad that there are authors who deserve so much recognition but then she writes questionable stuff sometimes and...people still like it...??? not everyone ofc but yea

In short terms, she romanticizes SA, two characters laugh at their sons private parts, and sth abt how her son sa’ed someone and she doesn’t give a fck.

I never read her books as they're definitely not even close to my taste but the girls in my class read them without shame

Yeah she is just very weird when it comes to describing specific characters, she promotes DV, and she honestly Isnt a very good writing (but that last part is just my opinion)!!
