I would recommend a kindle paper white which is a kindle that mimics the look of paper so it’s harder to see finger prints. Since I haven’t seen any comics or graphic novels I don’t believe you need the color kindle unless you want to take a specific type of aesthetic photo.

I have a Scribe, and I love it, but for something cheaper and smaller, I recommend the Paperwhite! It’s lightweight and the battery lasts forever!

I 100% suggest getting a twelfth generation paperwhite SO GREAT!You could also get a kid one, they are the same thing just slightly smaller, cheaper, AND they come with a case!

I have the newest paper white kindle and personally love it make sure to get a case that like folds out with a strap to hold it trust it’s so much more convenient
