I haven't read once upon broken heart, but I'd definitely recommend half a soul by Olivia Atwater, it's a fae/historical fantasy, and it's sooo whimsical and cozy with with a soft comforting romance 🥹💗, it's a part of a trilogy, and while this is the first book, you can totally read it as a standalone since the other two aren't really connected to it beyond sharing the same world Ig :)
