What are your opinions on dust jackets?
I'm considering using a different publisher for my next books so I can do dust jackets and preorders, but I would take a profit cut, so I'm trying to decide if it's worth it!

I think they’re pretty! I usually prefer paperbacks in general though because I find them easier to read and take places.
So, after running some IngramSpark calculations where a 430-page hardcover with a dust jacket priced at $28 would earn me approximately $2 per sale...maybe I'll just stick to paperbacks. I so wish trad publishing was easier to get into
