Just start writing and don’t worry too much about the hows and where’s. Have a specific scene in mind? Start there. Have the whole beginning mapped out? Write it. The first draft is the messiest and that’s ok. Just get it out of your head and on paper. So just start writing is all I can say 🖤 and have fun with it!

yesss girlll! i’m writing one too but it’s more of a dark fantasy! i started mine in a kinda intense scene. (Action always captivates the reader! 😉) but honestly my biggest tip is to look at ur fav romantasy books and read a few pages to see how they begin like what setting?? what vibes?? what dangers?? what urgency?? and take from there!! obviously don’t copy, but see what vibes/settings fits ur book the mostttt! then after that begining scene; trust you will know where to go next! apologies for my essay…hope this helps!

write down every idea that you have including character lore, magic systems, and world building. outlining helps a lot especially for complicated fantasy plots. and ofc always write what you want and take as much time as you need

Heyy girly!! I also started writeing a book lately but i'm not really into romantasy or like fantasy AT ALL but i'm sure you'll make a good writer! Rn im writing a mystery but i think no matter what gerne you write just write whatever theory you have in mind and then choose from them! Also dont force youreslf to write like every night bc then by some tim you dont want to write anymore... (sry it was so long comment)

Hiii!! Omg yessss that sounds so fun. Honestly my only advice is that if you have like a scene in mind, write it. Play around with the book and the ideas of the book and maybe make like a Pinterest board for the book, the scenes and the vibes. It makes it way more fun and easier to write in my opinion. If you have like a scene in mind you can write it or even have a ”vibe” for a scene you can play around with it. I hope that helped!! Good luck, i bet it will be amazing!

And also make the characters personal and make them have their own life and vibes. Don’t just be like ”yeah that’s good enough” take time to write and even the small things matter.

Soooo not professional, but like definitely someone who tried to write a book 2 times and was not able to complete😭😭😭 mainly bcz of school but maybe if i took it seriously, it would be published by now!!??okay that’s an overstatement 😅 but when I was like really into writing the book, I wrote like three chapters chapters which were short, but I still tried and the were pretty good tbh! But before doing that, first of all, I just had this one note in my iPad where I wrote down all the brain dump ideas like character names or even some random quotes that I love which I can use somewhere in the book, also the plot like this will happen, that will happen this will the side plot and everything!!
So again, not a professional at all!!! but maybe this can help❤️ so yeah Good luckkkk!!! I hope you DO NOT end up like me and publish your book!!😭❤️

I once wanted to write a book but I postponed it 😭😭, HOWEVER, just make the story clear and first of all grab a notebook and write about the characters then the story bc the story will revolve around the characters and not the opposit, then plan the plot timeline and main events. Also, to get better and better in writing I have an idea (I still haven't done it bc I still didn't start) however, go to a cafe or any public place and start writing and describing the place and ppl there so you Improve the writing. It’s actually so annoying but plan. I feel completely planning is annoying. What I do is have my idea and write as much as I can think of (scenes, pieces of dialogue, that kind of thing). You need to make your character basic info spread sheet thing so you know specific details. Then if you know your plot/idea you can give yourself wiggle room but have chapter ideas (specific ideas in specific orders). Let me know if that makes sense and helps!

Get a notebook. Write everything down. If you need help with character names or traits, there's a good generator: rangen.co.uk
I know it's hard to get started. I have a sci-fi/action book in the works, and I started off with a prologue from the character's childhood to give the main character motivation for why she is making her time machine. For a fantasy, I would recommend a more intense scene or a setback scene that gives your character a reason for her goals. Remember, every character needs a goal, whether it comes true or not, or it's big or small be on you, but goals are the key! Even small characters need backstory; don't have throwaway characters; all of them should make a change in your MC's life!! I have a chapter planner and a rough goal for how many words I want. Word counts depend on the style and genre of the book; yours may want 80-100K words. A sci-fi/rom like mine is about 60-80K words. It's not stern, it's just a good set goal. I spent about half a year planning and character building, but you don't need to do that much. It can get boring and tire you out. I recommend just getting a good build, not necessarily a big one, to start. The sooner you get to writing, the better! Planning is helpful, though.
