y'all alchemised hangover is real, i fear. i just CAN'T physically get into any other book and it's been almost a week since i read that book. does anyone have book recs similar to alchemised (yes i've alr read manacled wayyy b4 alchemised 😭🙏)? i've been trying to find some and i've been surfing thru so many websites for the last few days but most of them are part of unfinished series. irdk what to do ughhh.

lol you can listen to the audio or read the fanfic.. but a lot of people are saying Souls in Ruin is very similar! i read it and didn't think so, but it was still a great read :)
I was looking for something similar too! The rec I found is Blood Over Brighthaven. Haven’t read yet, but that’s what I’m gonna try. Or you could always just reread Alchemised.🤭
I did not read Anathema but something like The Sherperd King duology or Anathema? 🫶❤️Sorry girl I don't know a lot of good recommendations but I hope you find THE book to get out of the slump 🫶

Book hangovers are the worst. 💕 Loved Alchemised too & the original fanfic. 
I recommend All The Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace, it's super easy to binge. I hope the Alchemised hangover fades asap! ♡

Alchemised almost sent me into the worst slump ever and for me, personally, reading novellas helped a lot. I couldn't handle reading anything longer and they were quick and engaging enough to pull me through.. Good luck, love ❤️

Literally just ignore books and pick up manhwa or manga. the hand that once fed would be my recommendation
short fanfiction and mangas + rereading some of my favs and/or finding a book that’s similar to the one i loved usually works for me (i’ve been hungover for 6 months you can see my advice is terrible.)
short short SHORTTT books!!! For me I NEEDED somthing lighthearted after reading something so dark. I dont have a specific rec buttt I hope this helps <33 also I didnt read for like a week after bc I genuinely could NOT function. I don't recommend Rose in Chains as I DNF it, but most people liked it... so maybe you might.

The hangover is so real 😂 I moved on with The Nightborn Duet by Carissa Broadbent and the Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden, if you haven't read them yet, you could give them a try 🥰

The Poppy War, has almost the same emotional brutality.
But I think you should read a fun novella kinda book for palette cleansing then dive into these emotionally scarring books
Hmmm I suggest reading smth fast paced...maybe a thriller can get you out of the slump? Hope this helps xx
