two openings to access one continuous hole.

i am not a wise guy, but imma try to give my hypothesis here, for a straw having only one hole (idek if hypothesis is a correct word or not)

holes are a concept in the 2nd dimension, while straws or donuts are 3 dimensional.
so when we look at the differences bw the 2nd and the 3rd dimension, the major and sometimes the only difference is 'height'. the third dimension has a factor which is not present in the second dimension which is height.
if we add height to a 2D shape, for example a square, we find that it just extends along a particular axis (prefferab;y the z axis)

coming back to 2D for a minute, we notice that a hole is any polygon, or tbh, any shape, that only has a boundary and hollow from the interior.

so when we add a height aspect to a "hole shape" we find that it is a extension of the shape we alr had, along a particular axis (preferably the z axis).

now for an example, let us imagine, we have a hole (2D) int he shape of a circle, looking at the previously given explaination, and using a little bit of ur common sense, we find that wehn we add the height aspect to a hollow circle (hole) it turns into a cylinder.

therefore, applying a lil more common sense we find that there is only one hole, which just got a height aspect, and turned into a hollow cylinder, i.e. a straw (depending on the diameter or radius)

thus, id conclude that a straw has only one hole.

Bro if you smoosh a straw down or like yk make it short it’s the same shape as a donut and no one can argue a donut has one hole the answer is one hole
