soon i'm writing a story about a girl without a heart in her chest, a girl who can't love. but i really need to learn how to portray a morally gray fmc, so please give me some recs of romantasies with morally gray fmcs (preferably no smut) !! would be highly appreciated x

idk if she's morally grey per se, but Aelin Galathynius from Throne of Glass is a good one.
the poppy war! it's not really Romantasy but is fantasy and the main character rin is an amazingly written morally gray fmc
A broken blade is a great one, but I think it has some spice towards the end? Or maybe the beginning of the next book
i second the throne of glass!! long series but worth the read i promise, and i think you would like the fmc’s character :) (no explicit spice but there are fade to black, and only mostly in the later books)
This isn’t a romantasy, but Fang Rubin from the poppy war is one of the best morally gray FMCS I’ve ever read. Just make sure to read the TWs!
