When you call someone “damaged” you’re automatically very very very bad!

I didn't like him the first time i read the book, but when i reread it, i realized that he's not as bad as some people say! I don't like what he did or justify his actions, but Shannon kinda ruined his character and i feel like she could have improved him soo much. Instead she made him worse... He's too overhated!
Savannah wrote: He's literally a teenager dealing with things that would break most adults!!Yeah, so is every one of Sophie’s friends, but they don’t run around blaming everyone else! And calling people damaged!

I agree and if he really like Sophie, he wouldn't care. But give him the benefit of the doubt! He grew up being told that bad matches were bad matches. He grew up as a Vacker and being a celebrity doesn't look easy. Now obviously he shouldn't have said what he did and he did overreact but i think he was just scared bc he didn't want to ruin his family's reputation

I will never hate on Fitz now that I understand his character better. Cause, yes, I used to hate him. But now I’ve realized that he’s literally a teenager! Yes, he gets angry and lashes out and is rude and all sorts of things…but doesn’t every teenager do that?! His emotions are absolutely justified for his age. For anyone, actually, because as Savannah said, he’s dealing with things that would break even most adults! And, in the series, HAVE broken the adults! And yes. The other characters don’t run around calling others damaged and blaming others, because they deal with it in different ways. Everyone copes differently. And I’m not saying that Fitz has good ways to cope. It’s absolutely not healthy. But neither is anyone else’s. Keefe self sabotages. Sophie tries to bear everyone else’s weight, sacrificing her own needs. Dex isolates himself. Biana stuffs it down inside and pretends she’s ok, meanwhile she’s pretty depressed. (These may not be totally accurate. Been a while since I did a read through, that’s just what I remember.) And Fitz gets angry. So yeah, I will never hate him. It’s a normal, though not healthy, way for a teen boy to cope with things he should never have had to deal with.
No but yes. I haven't finished the series but bro is a lot sometimes. But agreeing with @EnchantedEva he is a teenager. I also like am like Team Keefe all the way...
I think he definitely has some issues... And he is NOT the one for Sophie, like a lot of his interactions with her in the later books aren't the kindest/most ethical, but I like his character.
