I rarely reread books but have done so on a few occasions recently as they have been book club choices and I couldn't remember them sufficiently to talk about them in any depth. Madame Bovary and The Line of Beauty are just two examples. In both cases I was really pleased I was "forced" into rereading them as I felt I got even more out of them second time around. I wish I had time to reread many of the novels I enjoyed in the past but so many books, so little time!

I love to re-read my old faves when I'm stressed out or not feeling well. I also find that when I'm craving to do some reading, but don't quite have the capacity to start something fresh where I need to be paying close attention, an old fave does the trick!
