we do it in the uk as well
basically how we do it is one person says hip hip and everyone says hooray and you do that twice
and then the person says 'and one for luck, hip hip' and everyone says hooray and then u just kinda cheer and clap while they blow out the candles

i say cha cha cha af the end but maybe thats bc im american

Most of the people i know (in the us) do the counting thing like “are you one, are you two…” etc. until you get to their age. And of course the cha cha cha

Me and my friends start giving birthday bashes(no. of times=their age+1) and in the end, we ask, "how old are you?" Ik it's silly but lmaooo
