ughh i hated red queen but i refuse to say powerless is better because it’s just plagiarism and horribly written, and riddled with grammar errors…
but like i had more fun reading powerless icl red queen was dreadful to try and read.

i just want to note i was an og powerless hater. i had no idea about the palgiarism and i was stupid enough to ignore the grammar. i loved the first couple chapters, and then hated the rest of the book and characters and it was just overall annoying

powerless was the first romantasy i read not knowing it was plagiarized so i loved it and i didn’t like red queen 😭😭

i read red queen about 4 or 5 years ago and powerless just last year and personally didn't like either BUT. the similarities between the two are astonishing and powerless is 1000% plagiarized. it was so much worse and lauren roberts honestly didn't seem like she was coming up with anything original with the entire series tbh

I didn’t read red queen but I suspect it is a usual booktok teen book but powerless was shit to me made only for romance and romantic tropes

I've never read Powerless and I probably never will. I enjoyed Red Queen, but I hated the second book and never finished the series. Victoria Aveyard's writing style is not my favorite (I love her podcast though).

I read Red Queen was when I was a little younger ~10 years ago, and I loved it back then, but I remember the series fell off for me by the third book...and I haven't picked up powerless because of the plagiarism allegations, and I don't think I ever will.

I am sure if I tried to reread Red Queen, I'd not enjoy it as much since I've grown in my reading tastes.
