Since the votes are leaning towards female, maybe I could make her a lesbian cuz I wanna have her crush on Marissa hehehehehehe
first of all I LOVE this!! your writing is really immersive, like I can totally imagine myself standing right with these characters. the vibe is great and I love it, good job <333
and i'd go for trans girl, just kinda gives me those vibes

“Hey.” Just a single word, but I know it means so much more.
Marissa tilts her head, her smirk barely visible underneath her fake coolness towards me. She takes a hand out of her pocket, quickly handing me a small paper ball. Before I can react, she spins around, striding confidently towards her classroom. I look down into my hand, slowly uncurling it. Inside, she’s written in her beautiful cursive handwriting: “I’ve got another one. Three o’clock in my yard, don’t be late.”
I sigh, smiling at her letter. She really takes this seriously, doesn’t she?
As I fold it in half and stuff it into my pocket again, Thomas bumps into me, snickering to his friends as I drop my pencil case on the ground. I stick out my foot, yanking his foot so he falls to the ground. Christine explodes in laughter, picking him up from the floor.
Thomas looks taken aback as he straightens his cap, clearly humiliated as he walks away without saying a word.
Christine turns to me, patting my head.
“Good job! I know he’s still mad at you, but don’t let it get onto you. He means nothing with it, he’s just being a little grumpy. Someone needs to show him he’s not the center of the universe.” She says, a big smile on her face.
“I know. He’s been pretty annoying lately, but I guess he’ll get over it.” I say, waving goodbye to her as I head the opposite direction.
