I just read The Stand earlier this year for the first time and it was impressive!

I haven't read Christine, but I feel like The Stand is such a must read for any horror super fan. It just made such a profound impact on dark fantasy and so many different subgenres that it's worth a read, even if it has plenty of imperfections and is a bit a sign of the time it came out in. That second Bill Hodges one is okay at best, and the third is.... less than satisfactory.

Excited about house of furies too. I want to read that one as well!
