@jules it's the worst book to start if you want to read a fantasy. i would much rather a non fantasy reader read the most complicated high fantasy than powerless.

Everyone hyped up Picking daisies on Sundays and I was so excited to read it when I finally got it but I couldn’t make it past page 16 there’s sooo many blatant grammar mistakes and the characters felt so flat from the start that I DNF’d it

i'm genuinely torn between acotar and powerless, acotar had absolutely zero plot and a less than competent fmc whilst powerless was a juvenile mess of cheesy quotes and oddly convenient scenes. i dnfed haunting adeline so ill never know . not even booktok could convince me to read credence .
better than the movies was a struggle to get through but it wasnt nearly as bad as certain books being advertised as 'PEAK LITERATURE'. havent read fourth wing only some scenes and spoilers but im hating on it regardless bc it set the bar for books so fucking low

BINDING 13 IDC deadass got through 15 pages and the amount of times she said she was tiny and he mentioned his stupid groin injury made me so mad i had to dnf it and i dont ever want to pick up the rest of that godawful series

I’ve never hated a book with the same fiery passion I reserve for Powerless. It’s not dislike, it’s a personal vendetta, this book should come with a trigger warnings: may cause rage, chronic side-eye, trust issues with recs, spontaneous eye-rolls, and a sudden urge to throw your Kindle across the room🤧Kai being someone’s book bf is my villain origin story!!!
i did not read any of this cause i learned my lesson, but i will add verity and a touch of darkness. verity was so bad i cannot comprehend how it has such a high rating and a touch of darkness was also bad, but on top it was very boring and predictable
