i've read one of her books and it was so bad

idk who rina kent is but dark romance is actually so bad, like, spare yourself and don’t read whatever it is 😭😭

Idk bc i don't read dark romance but i think u should avoid them since ive heard she romanticizes r@pe/SA. Im pretty sure her characters also develop Stockholm syndrome

girl absolutely not. her “best” book was god of fury and even that was terrible. her mmcs are always misogynistic rapists, she hates the women she writes, she always brings down her femae characters to uplift her males, her writing is bad, the plots never make sense, etc

never read her books ever but if ur reading a dark romance for the first time i wouldnt go with rina kent... her mmcs give off such weird ass vibes (and tbh do what aves said spare urself entirely !!)

No. As someone who has read all her books don’t waste your time. All super repetitive with the mmc and fmcs. All the mmcs are so boring w no personality & are the same!! The fmcs absolutely have no backbone and they’re all really boring.

i mean i don't know anything about the author but i just generally try and stay away from dark romance after seeing a few videos and reviews for haunting adeline 😬 maybe it's just me but id avoid the genre in general since it seems to be pretty problematic

I personally love her books! They’re very dark though if you can’t handle it don’t read it! Her plot twists are amazing too!

Don’t get me wrong I love dark romance when it’s done right, but gosh all of her books were just so boring. So many of her books consist sa!! Coercion in so many of her books

i've read two series by her, and honestly, while the plots were pretty good, her characters just didn’t work for me. after that, i told myself i wouldn’t pick up another one of her books. so this might sound like im not recommending her, but i think you should still give her a chance. maybe you’ll feel differently 💖

What I mean by SA is a lot of the mmcs be touching the fmcs when the fmcs be telling them to stop , but they continue touching them anyway. And then the fmcs always have the mindset where they “secretly” like it and it’s just so unnecessary. Also in of the books one of the mmc is like “I can’t sa you because your my wife” like as an excuse of what he was doing. 🤮

I've never read her books(hadn't even heard of her) and neither a dark romance before, but as a Muslim, I don't recommend reading such stuff, to not waste your time and thoughts on these things ❤️

I will agree some of the plot twists were good, but other than that I don’t think her books are worth the read. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again.

i don’t read dark romance, it’s a pretty huge ick for me, but i’m pretty sure people have said her books romanticize rape, sa, abusive relationships, and her books seem to just be the same thing over and over again with just different characters.

Here’s the thing her books can be concerning like they thing that SA that sort of thing is okay ( inside the book) but somehow they all fall in love, IF YOURE OKAY WITH THAT it’s good, and I actually fly through them pretty quickly. Also they talk D.I.R.T.Y. (The men)

idk about the controversy but her books are genuinely just so bad, if you want to read dark romance there are soooo many other books/authors that are actually good 🙂‍↔️

I’ve read many of her books and I’d say they are pretty much the same plot and generally if u want to start with dark romance don’t start with rina

Like personally I like her and I love dark romance but if it’s not ur thing don’t read it. Also anyone pls don’t come after me but I generally like dark romance. Like if the book romanticized rape or sa DNF it but like I feel like if a book does that it’s a problem with the book and author not the genre. Dark rom is really controversial but I feel like most of the genre does not romanticize sa. Most of it is consensual non consent and it’s not for everyone

Btw: I do not support rape and sa in anyway

But yea I mean rina Kent’s characters aren’t..well the best tk put it a nice way

Has anyone read Blood of My Monster? I was looking for good mob romance and people recommended it to me. I know it is by Rina Kent so now I am like hmmmm? 🤔 Lol 😆

I only ever read dark romance when I need to get out of slumps. I recently read god of malice and it was pretty decent but the sequel to that wasn't nearly as good, so I feel like she's a hit or miss author

if you’re a person who hasn’t read much or dark romance at all do NOT start with Rina Kent bc it’s pretty unhinged and has dark themes. on the other hand this is coming from a girl that read Haunting Adeline as her first dark romance and loved it! so i guess it depends on you’re maturity level? i absolutely loved the Legacy of Gods series by Rina Kent so if you do choose to read it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the trigger warning carefully
