For years I had books and notes sitting on a shelf, but a year and a half ago began publishing with Amazon:
X (Captain Ruik's Adventure): Fast-paced action/adventure where a pirate huntress faces off with lethal thieves
Psycho Author: Dark comedy about an author who tries to do ANYTHING to get published and ends up charged with murder.
Specks of Shadows, Flecks of Light: Blending reality with fantasy, a whirlwind collection of short stories and poetry.
Sophizo: Meaning "To Make Wise", a Proverbs-inspired guide to parenting and personal development with God as the foundation.
Honoured if you'd like to take a look at any of them.
Always interested in hearing your thoughts, feel free to message anytime.

Wow! I was surprised how many people here also write! Fear of embarrassment (what if my book sucks?) was a challenge holding me back for a long time. If you're in the category of 'written but not published', I highly encourage you to check out Amazon KDP to publish for free because even if you're the only one to have the book, it is totally worth it. There are a ton of YouTube videos to help guide the process or I would be glad to help, no cost, no catch, just send a message.
For those who are in the process, keep going! You'll know when you're finished. Lots of free editing tools out there like Word and Grammarly to help. I had 'scrapped' a number of books before finally publishing one, but may circle back to fix them now that I know what works.
If you're planning or have ideas, put them down on paper! Or, Word document. My 2nd book was literally scraps of paper, post-it notes, and advice posted online, all collected over the years which I organized and 'filled in the blanks'.

It is strange to think about now because I don't have the slightest interest in writing now and most of the stuff I wrote was pretty bad haha. I only ever had one piece published in a book and that was it lol."
Looking back, I had a lot of early on 'very rough stuff', but some I was able to re-write & re-work to meet my wiser eyes so I'd definitely say hold on to everything in case you have the interest to pick up writing again. One piece published is a great start! I like short stories, flash fiction, and articles, so if you wanted to share what book, you're welcome to and would be glad to check it out.

Yes! Check out books by Heidi Harris!
I like the fast pace of 'Emma's Quest', a flirty cute story. 'Living the Dream: Writing Books One Episode at a Time' was very encouraging and felt like I was growing through the process while reading. You have a huge library of works, I recommend that everyone check at least one out.

YES! Now this has my attention! I'm reminded of "How To Survive a Robot Uprising", a book I very much enjoyed.

Make it happen! I may be able to help brainstorm or work through the process of publishing if you'd like to message. Lots of free tools out there for aspiring authors these days.

Massive created library! Everyone check out Peggy Jaeger on Amazon. I especially enjoyed the concept of The Jane Austen Murders story on Vella, very cool blend of the old and new police detective work.
