It's a MG to YA series so I don't know if you'll enjoy it or not but I absolutely love The Viking Quest series. Raiders from the Sea

If i remember correctly, A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass had enemies to lovers and it was very clean.
To Sir, With Love by Lauren Layne! She writes contemporary romance that can get steamy, but that book is clean with nothing beyond kissing. It's also a You've Got Mail retelling!
One of my favorites is the Viking Quest series! It's more Middle Grade, but openly Christian and one of the best enemies to lovers I've found. This is the first book: Raiders from the Sea. But personally the second book is my favorite 🥰I'll let you know if I think of anymore :)

ThornPride and Prejudice
The Scarlet Pimpernel
The Starlit Prince
Shadowcast
Some of these only sort-of fit the trope, but they are all close.
better than the moviesthe cruel prince
i hope this doesn't find you
if you could see the sun
this time it's real
a thousand heartbeats
powerless
renegades
instant karma
if you’re into romantasy i just read powerless and it was amazing! another one is dance of thieves (and vow of thieves), which are my fav books of all time.
The Scarlet Veil (follow-up book to serpent and dove books)Last of the Talon
Queen Bee
Legend by Marie Lu
Strike the Zither
Some of these are rivals to lovers, but I think that they're all good!
Seconding Pride and Prejudice and The Scarlet PimpernelAlso. The Cruel Prince (this one's pretty intense and stabby though)
also these
Tier 1:
FAE HUNTER series by Sarah K.L. Wilson < high rec, has Cruel Prince vibes but DIFFERENT
BLUEBEARD'S SECRET series by Sarah KL Wilson < highly rec, very dark and atmospheric and FULL of metaphors and banter
DREAMS LIE BENEATH by Rebecca Ross - dark, magical, mysterious, atmospheric, LOVE this ship, feat. magicians, dreams, and nightmares, and also a GAME
Tier 2:
novella. Quite sweet. standalone. Also. Villain romance ;) Bluebeard and The Outlaw by Tara Grayce
Another short in the same multi author standalone series.
Regency + dark magic (VERY atmospheric + fun banter)
Rec the above from Wright first, but this series also dark and atmospheric
Cast in Firelight by Dana Swift (duology but I have not read the second one yet - first one very fun and fast paced!)
Okay so this is not enemies to lovers but I love them too much to pass by and not give them a mention ;) <3
Bodyguard - VERY intense and delightful stuff!
Heart of Shadow by Sarah KL Wilson
Feel free to DM if you have any questions or want to bookrant ^-^
Seconding Viking Quest! Clean, upper MG/YA (the last two books I'd definitely call YA) series.Other recs:
Romanov by Nadine Brandes
The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner (has some language)
*mind goes blank* Yeah can't help much right now, but I do second Viking Quest series. It's definitely more for a younger age group, but still very good, though it's been awhile since I read it, but seeing it here makes me happy lol
Renegades has at least one token couple, but the lunar chronicles is good, Mara daughter of the Nile, I think These violent delights was good, Romanov
The Prince of Spies by Elizabeth Camden was kinda-ish enemies-to-lovers. The two main characters' families were enemies, so maybe the book was more of a Romeo and Juliet type thing.🤷 If I think of any more I'll let you know.
I second Anne of Green Gables if you haven’t read that!! It’s so good! The whole series is amazing (except book 4. I’ve never liked book 4. Her pen was NEVER perfect 😩 [iykyk])
- Love Letters: Love Notes/Cookie Schemes/Posted Dreams/eBay Encounter is a super sweet and fun collection of stories, and eBay Encounter is an enemies to lovers- Mark of the Raven is the first in a trilogy, which isn't enemies to lovers in the sense that they hate each other at first, but that they're on opposing sides in the war so they definitely don't trust each other at first
A lady’s guide to fortune hunting Caraval
Once upon a Broken Heart
The girl in his shadow
Miss Newberrys list (not really enemies to lovers but a clean romance)
Defy the Night
P.S. I Like You Maybe This Time
Cake Pop Crush
Prom & Prejudice
Salt and Sugar
A Date with Darcy (the second half)
All Last Summer
Sunset Ranch
By Your Side
We hunt the flameDance of thieves
Powerless by Lauren Roberts (more of a rivals to loves but really good)
these have fade to black:Legend
The Cruel Prince
These Violent Delights
these are completely clean:
Once Upon a Broken Heart
The Night Circus
Red Queen (there's a fade to black in the final book of four though)
EEK another enemies to lovers I just thought of is The Starlore Legacy, not sure how I forgot about this! This is a must read. lol And in the fifth book another enemies to lovers relationship starts (at least I'm hoping that's where it's going. lol)
I second Dreams Lie Beneath, The Cruel Prince, and Divine Rivals! The Cruel Prince and Divine Rivals do have some more mature content but it's easy to skip over.
