If you are into historical romance, Secrets Of A Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas has an mmc who is so down bad for the heroine. He was really swoony and protective too.

Hmm that’s really hard because I think nothing is comparable with binding 13😅 But when it comes to pure and innocent love then I would recommend archer’s voice💞 and maybe the right move by liz tomforde🤔 the mmc reminds me a bit of johnny. It’s sports romance, he is a basketball player and basketball is everything to him until he falls in love with the fmc🥰 hope that helps❤️

GIRL I'VE BEEN ON A SEARCH FOR SO LONG. the only book that i've been across, that seems worth a try is Fighting Absolution.

Long Shot is really freakin emotional. Prepare to sob if you start that one. I thought it was a really good book but if you have any triggers I would check the trigger warnings first because it does deal with some pretty heavy, horrible, and emotional stuff.

Oh my gosh! That book is my childhood. One of the first romances that I ever read where I truly fell in love with the characters.

I gave icebreaker 2 stars 😭 but I think it’s just bc it’s a hockey romance not like the actual plot of icebreaker but you do you girl

I read it!! Definitely agree it gives a vibe of B13 I even thought about it while reading. Both because yes the mmc is a little like Johnny and because of the plot itself.
Also I don't remember it being like icebreaker. The main thing is they're both hockey romance, oh and maybe because in both someone is training the fmc too hard. Other then that I can't come up with any similarities.
But you should definitely try, I remember loving the book and Rhys is adorable.
Idk if anything can cure the BOT hangover tho.

not a slow burn ig but I have a friends-to-lovers cuteeee romance and it's THE DEAL BY ELLE KENNEDY! It's hockey romance and seriously the best one you'll read about sports romance! I love it sfm! I have OVER THE TOP, OBSESSED IN LOVE characters but not like johnny lmaoo because Johnny is a green flag 😭
