I NEED A HIGHLY SPECEFIC BOOK REC. FROM ALL THE DARK ROMANCE READERS OUT THERE!!
=> IRREDEEMABLE MMC WITH NO HEA.

i'll elaborate-
i need a realistic dark romance. the mmc does some fucked up things to fmc (rape, kidnap, hostage, extreme manhandling, emotional abuse and manipulation, etc.) he's preferably a psychopath who's obsessed with her and is very possessive. but mind it, HE'S IRREDEEMABLE, and in no point in the book is his actions justified.
the fmc is snarky and strong willed and fights back but is obv helpless due to power imbalance.
the mmc realises that he can never win her over by his actions so he tries to be better and there's LOTS OF GROVELLING (maybe he has occasional psychopathic outbursts but he tries his best). it breaks him from within when he realises that the fmc will never be his so he completely goes unhinged and wreaks havoc but at last he resigns. (MMC SHOULD YEARN FOR THE FMC THE WAY CHRIS DID IN LEMONADE)
it ends with him letting her go. driven by the pain of what he did to his lover, either he surrenders or kills himself, or either the fmc kills him.
there's lust bw the two and there's stockholm syndrome but the fmc never caves or actually "falls in love" with him. maybe she developes a soft spot for mmc (and along the way maybe us readers also start sympathizing with him) but she doesn't forgive him and they have NO HEA.
it should be a well written emotional rollecoaster book with good level of HOT smut. i have no triggers.

This sounds very similar to Born, Darkly… some things you’ve written are not the same but I would say it’s pretty similar to what you’re looking for. It’s dark romance but it’s also psychological thriller. I enjoyed it !!

Then there is the war of sins series by veronica lancet. The side character Micheal is psycho, does really horrible things, but his book is not out yet (there are a lot of chapters in his POV in the series)

So well I only read books with HEA so I have a book from what you described! It's morally ambigious and it's like super dark! The past of both the MC's is dark and the fmc is snarky and has alot of self respect, she's amazing and the hero is literally a psychopath! He does not feel anything and he did something fucked up to the heroine so he grovels REALLLYYY HARD and then there's some side plot and things so yeahh it's good! It's by veronica lancet and you can check her other books. War of sins series by her has super fucked up mmc and yeah there is rape too so you can try it! Twist me series by Anna zaires is similar! Too dark and just so suffocating!

I’m so sick of some of these idiots just getting their way. I want an fmc that’s strong enough to say “f** this I’m better off alone and in peace. He made his case and I kinda still love him but, nope”. After LOTS of research it’s safe to say that this trope doesn’t fall under “romance/dark romance” as the basis of that is, by default, a HEA. That’s just how the genre is classified in the bookworld (I know, I know… ugh).
So apparently we’re looking for a thriller/erotic thriller or something in the world of (erotic) fiction. The genres are a nightmare to sift through, so I’m still searching for more…
Ohhh you should definitely check out Torment Parts 1 and 2 by Dylan Page (The Bleeding Hearts series). I don't know that the HEA is necessarily a HEA or at least not for everyone involved lol
I don’t know if you’re still looking for recs but you can try GODLY OBSESSION: How badly does she want her freedom? by ANSA Reads. It will seriously messed with your head. The mmc is absolutely unhinged and irredeemable. Seems like this book has most of the things you were looking for.

If you want really dark, Deviant by Ellie Sanders kinda fits- please PLEASE read all the trigger warnings though as it is fucked up.
His by Aubrey Dark might be something to look into. I can’t remember if it ends with an HEA but it’s definitely dark and very realistic in regards to kidnapping with Stockholm syndrome. The reviews aren’t great but it’s primarily because readers had a hard time with the realism of it.

I’m late to this but Torment duet by Dylan Page is pretty much exactly this.
I’m definitely late and what I’m going to recommend is not even a book. But if you read manhua or are open to reading one, this is exactly like the one I’ve read (and absolutely loved). Title is “Who is the Prey?”. MMC is irredeemable, FMC goes through a lot (but is really strong mentally), and no HEA.
This is literally “pretty” nick bruin from the dukes of Forsyth series. He does everything and is irredeemable and she has that witty snarky attitude and personality but she’s captive and can’t do anything and there’s a lot of groveling. Dukes of Ruin
