As an artist and I writer I would read a book IMMEDIATELY if it has illustrated pages!! The novels I am writing/planning to write all are going to have illustrations in them, because that’s just who I am. I’m the teenage girl who’s always in the picture book section looking at all the art, and idc if I book is good, if the cover art is bad I’m not reading it!! 😂

Ohhh, I love illustrated books, especially when they're in the fantasy realm. Lately, I've been diving into a lot of novels. I really dig it when the author mixes up different styles in how the book's laid out, throwing in some cool vector art or emojis in text message conversations. Although, I'd definitely hesitate more before picking up a book if the visual doesn't vibe with me. Especially books with real people on the cover hahaha those stock image models totally break my immersion.
anything that has a leni kauffman illustration i will love. i really don't like any other cover illustrations but hers 💀 the typical cartoonish, unfilled/non-shaded illustrations look so UGLY to me (onew off-campus for example)
First time reading the book then it HAS to be an art style I really like
