PinkPanthress I hate going outside… so Corona helped me have an excuse to stay home, work mostly from home, etc. for the past 3+ years. :D

~☆~Autumn I almost never think about covid anymore but I do think about my sister who died from it. To me its gone but we live way out in the country not in a big city.

I have had other viruses that were totally ignored by the CDC and also doctors in general. They don't even have a clue what CFS is.Osler's Web: Inside the Labyrinth of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Epidemic. To the CDC we were a big joke so to me they are a big joke. Not too bitter (ha).

Amrita There is negligible corona virus where I live. So we are doing normal things.

Lucy Carter I have had pretty mixed feelings about the coronavirus. To be honest, I actually enjoyed quarantine and remote schooling---I loved the freedom, introspection, and self-direction quarantine enabled me to have. It definitely helped me discover new hobbies. In fact, I was able to become a self-published author and blogger during the pandemic!

The one thing that made the pandemic less enjoyable was the alienation that came with enjoying the pandemic. I know that a lot of people have suffered because of the pandemic, and a lot of those struggles are very valid and legit. People have died, teenagers and kids my age have become depressed, and a lot of things people might have enjoyed before the pandemic have become less meaningful once it struck. I mean, those are real struggles that no one should ever forget nor ignore! It just got kind of frustrating knowing that while everyone else just wanted to socialize and do everything in-person, I actually enjoyed the space and independence the virus enabled me to have. It felt (and often still feels) as if people do not know that individuals like me existed. I remember this one time in seventh grade when everyone was just so glad to return back to in-person schooling, as if it was the best thing in the universe. The Zoom meetings I had to do in replacement with what would be regular classes were hence extended to accommodate the in-person students (and there was an extra day of classes, even), and the designated self-directed learning period was instead replaced with extra class time. My teachers and students seemed so happy, and that is good for them, but I hated it so much. The thing I enjoyed about remote schooling was the self-direction and independence, and yet the school was taking that away by cramming in more meetings and doing more collaborative work. It was kind of hard to make it through the second half of my seventh grade year. I never knew I could feel so alienated and displaced from literally the rest of the world.
