Marcie I also loved Pony by RJ Palacio but I think it will appeal to teachers and kids, but not necessarily librarians or the committee.

I just finished this and LOVED it. Such a well written snapshot into an unusual time period.

Also loved Worst Case Collin by Rebecca Caprara
and Starfish by Lisa Phipps. Have heard rave reviews about Just Like That by Gary Schmidt.
