Will we have the opportunity to repeat this poll in future months? So many of these topics are near and dear to me and it was very hard to pick just one!

These are all indeed great and I'd love to explore them but in general I am really missing literature from non-Western authors, but especially from Eastern Europe. It seems to be one of the more underrepresented regions and I find it unique because I don't think we are "developed" in the same sense as the rest of Europe and the Western world, mostly because our mentality is quite different, while we often tend to be put in the same cultural categories those more developed countries. Also our history is different - I don't know for sure but assume most Eastern European countries do not have a history of being colonial powers. I feel like still most of the discourse in literature and art is focused on colonial relations - colonisers and the colonised, the latter becoming more visible, which is amazing. But what about the countries which were not (colonised by) the UK, France or Spain (those being the biggest in my mind right now)? Where do we stand? How do we see the world? How are we similar and different from each other? That's more what I'd like to read and hope that others would too. Also, female authors from various countries in Asia would be very interesting for me to explore - there is great diversity there, form the former USSR states, though India, to Japan... This comment just grew and took on a life of its own, becoming more and more general; thank you to whoever read it! :D
