Seven Little Australians was a classic read from my early teens. I think I read it two or three times.

I think We of the Never Never is a non fiction historical account of the outback....

i have fond memories of going to see the movie 'We of the Never Never' with my grandmother when it was first released!

I have a little hardcover copy here I read many, many years ago which I'll dig out and re read if it wins :)
