I just want to say that although I really want North and South to win in this poll, I wouldn't be sorry if Les Mis, Brave new world or Dubliners won.. I've read the first 2 and they're both fantastic but Dubliners I started at the beginning of this month and although the writing is exceptionally good it is relentlessly dark, so it might be good to read as a group to cheer each other along.

I still intend to read Juneteenth around June 19. It has sat on my shelf for two Junes and it is time for me. If anyone else would be interested we could always set up a buddy read.

Me too Tracey! Quite a (nice) surprise to see the two English authors leading, though there are several brilliant choices here :)
I voted for The Magic Mountain just because it has been on my tbr forever but regardless which book wins I hope to join in the discussion as I miss reading books with this group.
