Christine PNW What a difficult choice! I'm not entirely sure that I won't still change my vote...

Abigail Bok I voted for The White Witch just because it will be October and I feel a need to honor the season. But I’ll be happy with just about anything!

message 3: by Peggy (new)

Peggy I voted for it too, because it's one I haven't read. But I'd be happy with any of them.

Karlyne Landrum I'm torn between Green Dolphin Street, which I haven't read in quite awhile, and Jane, which I don't remember at all. Decisions, decisions. The White Witch is one that it took me a read or two to appreciate, but I do now. And I haven't read any Rumer Godden in decades. Oh, dear...

I have never read any of Rumer Godden's adult titles.

I just ran through her list on Goodreads to see which one I had read, and I think (ha! maybe!) it was 5 for Sorrow, 10 for Joy. I remember it as being very somber, but very well written. I think I'd like to dabble in her books again.

I've probably mentioned before that Godden wrote my favourite children's book of all time. Miss Happiness and Miss Flower I'm still trying to get hold of a copy. I'm nearly at the point of *gasp* paying retail for the more modern edition.
