I'm for Scalzi's Lock In, because it looks like an s-f take of an increasingly widespread human condition - alienation, which although not preventing movement, effectively cuts off the sufferer from reality and renders their behaviour, to the mind of an integrated person, zombie-like. The idea that such sufferers might constitute a new kind of culture is a fascinating one - and possibly quite real. In fact, I believe that such is already the case ...
