My sister hates reading, but she somehow picked Aristotle and Dante from my bookshelf and she finished it in a couple of days. I was very impressed.

Can I ask, what type of movies/tv shows does she like?If there are certain genres she seems to prefer it may be easier to select something she might like.
She loves the tv show Psych, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Brother Bear, Frozen, some funny John Wayne movies. She loves ones that are hilarious and make you clutch your stomach in laughter.Books she loves when she read them: Old Magic, The Peasant Queen, Narnia books, Illustrated Stories From The Greek Myths-she really loves all of these; she collects them and likes the mythology ones the best: Usborne Illustrated Arabian Nights
Ok. Is she loves the Highlanders stories? If yes, she could read the McKeltar's brothers series by Karen Marie Moning, but it's HOT.Beyond the Highland Mist. It's a fantastic- fantasy-historical-erotic series.
At home in france, many young people have returned to read thanks to the historical novels a little or very HOT. And little by little, they discovered new novels. Less HOT and better written.

I had to take a moment then because I was just so pleased to see that someone else loves Brother Bear!
I'm not sure how many books I've read that actually really match up with those kind of tastes (I read a lot of horror and quite dark books, although I try to branch out), but two books I've read that I feel are easy reads that she might enjoy (that are not horror) are:
A Monster Calls (very emotional, though, so be warned)
The Perks of Being A Wallflower
Failing that, although I haven't read them myself yet (even though I plan to at some point), I've heard a lot of good things about the Lunar Chronicles series and as it's fantasy/fairy tale/sci-fi sort of all rolled into one she might enjoy that considering the other things she likes.
