Poll
Readers - what do you like to read in a book?
What subject do you wish somebody would write a book about? Maybe a world where the Gods aren't absent, or the story of a heroine who's actually prepared for her destiny when the mysterious mage character comes?
If you have an answer that isn't in the list, add your choice in the bar below, or write in the comments what kind of elements you want to see, and be specific!
Authors, check out this page, too - for odds are, one of you already has a book that's just what they're looking for! Feel free to comment below if you see an answer that matches.

Fun poll. Honestly Time travell ALWAYS time travell. Its my fave "trope" magic thing- element.
There just arent enough great ones.
In addition I hope publishers and or authors realise not EVERYONE that has a friend of the oposite gender paines for them fro afar. I have male friends dont want to kiss them. So yes more friendships that stays as friendships.
Also I love books that have that silent-on-purpose thing like in finnik of the rock by marlina marchetta or like in logan. Its so fun to see the interaction with no talking and then to find out why there was no talking...
I second Vegetarian heroes. Being a vegetarian myself the best representation of this so far (for me) is Mia Renaldi from princess diariess she is a vegetarian and still a person with lots to say. I feel like vegetarians in books often get portrayed as crazy people aka pheobe from friends.
Prophecies
is also something I LOOVE.
Ditto on more pirates in books.

Secondly,
When, oh when, oh when, will GR introduce checkbox polls, so we can pick more than one?
Until that happy day, we will just have to make our choices manually, i.e. by typing. Luckily for me, I can do ten-finger typing, and I still have all ten fingers! So...
My combination of choices in the perfect Fantasy (and maybe a little SF) novel include: Troubled Antiheroes, Spunky Heroines, Magic (no fantasy novel is complete without at least a little magic), Aliens (only if there is a SF component), Wars Against Evil, Orphans (so irresistible, with those large, tearful eyes), Trusty Steeds, Wizards and Witches, Goblins, Sylphs (if you mean Dryads, which are otherwise not on the list), Griffins (I mean, who can say no to a Griffin?), Heroes (provided they stay in their place and don't try to overshadow the Spunky Heroines), Castles - an absolute must-have, A Band of Surly Warriors (always adds a bit of texture), Enchanted Swords, and, of course, Apprentices (especially if they become Spunky Heroines later on).
As you can probably figure out from the above, assuming you had the patience to read through it, my single favourite is......
Spunky Heroines!
