Overall, my opinion is that you should read anything that interests you because reading is better than not reading. But with this series, I hate even saying that. The writing is awful (including the spelling! Where was her editor?!) and I'm not a fan of many of her characters. With how big this series got, I think it's very unhealthy how many girls adore a creepy character like Edward and excuse his behavior because it was done out of love. It shows a very unhealthy view of love and I think there are many books and series that both portray love in a better way and also have a great story line.

No, because why are we letting pedophilia roam throughout this series? Edward is a pedophile and destroyed Bella Swan's life. Jacob imprinted on a baby which is also more pedophilia because he apparently had "love at first sight" ON A BABY.

The writing was not the best and mind you I read this when I was 8 and loved it but now I look back at it and think to myself 'out of all the editors that looked over this book....nobody thought the material is really questionable'.

It's just really disgusting and we can not excuse Edward's behavior the entire time.

What nonsense! Bella fell in love with Edward FIRST. He is not a pedophile. Now I do think that Jacob imprinting on a baby is very strange.

Well, you won't believe that I read Twilight 8 times but I did!! I also went to Forks 5 times hunting for Edward, LOL! I have eaten the Bella Burger several times in Forks. I was obsessed with Bella. I had to buy some of her clothes and get Alice's choker. I am recovering finally with my dark obsession that I had.

Just because she fell in love first does not mean he isn't being a pedophile. That is like telling 39 year old saying 'oh but the 8-year-old fell in love with me first'......come on now, let's not be in the presence of ignorance.

Edward Cullen: 104 years old, just because he looks like a 17-year-old and died 17 years old does not mean that he ISN'T 104 years old.

Bella Swan: An actual 17-year-old before she became a vampire, by law you are not legally an adult until you're over the age of 18 so she was a child and that's United States of America law which they were in Washington so no she was still a minor and he was still a 104-year-old guy.

Look, love, I can tell you like Twilight everybody has their right to like a form of fantasy but we can not deny that there are very very concerning things within twilight itself.
