J Austill Glad it let me change my vote, I accidentally voted for the one book I really did not want to read.

Tamahome I approve of spacely space.

The first section of Red Light is great. But I got ADD after that.

Lindsay I've read all of those. There's no space in Red: First Light. It's an excellent near future military SF thriller, but it's set on Earth and stays there.

If I had to pick a favorite it would be between New Moon and The Red: First Light. Aurora has a few serious issues, as does Planetfall.

*Not all selections guaranteed to include trips into space.

Stephen Richter But with the right chemical or herbal enhancers you could get there while reading these right? On a side note Mark Lawrence ran a 300 word contest to win an arc of his new book, I wrote about a Podcast host who refused to visit a certain Book club meeting despite the nearness, The group put on a Terry Pratchett hex on him so that when his Inkshares book got published his author bio read " Bob is a toad and lives in the MacArthur Park Lake where he eats bugs."

Seems legit.

Tamahome The Red: First Light does have cyber-space.

Phil On The Hill My vote is for Emma Newman's Planetfall. I have already read it, but would love to see it reach a wider audience.

Tamahome She's also a professional audiobook narrator.

I didn't know that. She does a great podcast "Tea and Jeopardy", with her partner Peter. I have read some of her other material. While short stories are great, Planetfall is a serious step in in narrative.

Darren I didn't see Tuf Voyaging anywhere on that poll...

That's the one I'm crossing fingers against. I read it a while back and I thought it had great promise, but kind of fell flat for me. Definitely an author to watch though.

Seriously want some space travel.

Vote ends tonight and the leader looks to have an unassailable lead.

BUT WHO IS IT?

message 14: by Phil (new)

Phil Well, obviously it's the one I predicted but I can't tell you because I don't want to spoil it.
