Chrissie I am currently reading a book by Anthony Trollope. I am very impressed by his writing. As a result, IF I could I would vote for The Vicar of Bullhampton. Unfortunately, it i is not available to me, so I cannot vote for it. :0( Just thought I would say. My second choice would be the book by Balzac, Lost Illusions, but I cannot get that either. :0( so I will abstain from voting. Those are the two that interest me. I have already read the ones by Chopin and Dickens and didn't love either.

Chrissie, if you don't mind reading an ebook (in English), the Trollope is available through Project Gutenberg:

Chrissie It is not that I don't want to, Leslie. It is my eyes. Thank you anyhow for mentioning Gutenberg.

Ah, you need an audiobook edition. Too bad there isn't one conveniently available for you :(

I agree.

I plan on reading Phineas Finn next and also more Balzac. I am liking Père Goriot too. Tons of descriptive detail of Paris and people. Maybe Cousin Bette.

Oh, glad to hear that you are liking Père Goriot - that is one of the books I got last summer from my parents' downsizing. Cousin Bette is another one I would like to read...

Chrissie I tend to prefer French authors over English. Not so strange since I love France.

Gill Ooh, Kate Chopin just made it. I'm glad I voted strategically!
