Bob Mod
I'm curious to see how many people will read the 1000 pages of Bleak House in March. Bet it won't be the number of people voting for it.

message 2: by Melanti (new)

Melanti The runner up is 650-ish pages and by Dostoyevsky, which is some pretty tough reading. Or at least, I found Crime and Punishment to be a hard book to focus on and I assume The Idiot will be similar.

Either one is a LOT to read in one month.

message 3: by Christine (new)

Christine Yay! Agnes Grey is now in the lead! I've been wanting to read this one ever since I read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. We have some close polls this month!

message 4: by Melanti (new)

Melanti Yay for Agnes Grey!

And I'd much rather read that than read Dickens.
I'll just sit here with fingers crossed for the next week and hope it maintains its lead.

message 5: by Christine (new)

Christine I'd like to read Dickens too. I just know there is no way I would have time to get through 1000+ pages in a month!

message 6: by Teanka (new)

Teanka Yes, possibly Bleak House would be a better choice for the quarter long book nominations next month.

message 7: by Nathan (new)

Nathan I'm also voting for Agnes Grey.

I really want to read Bleak House, but 1,000 pages in a month is a tall order. I think it's an excellent candidate for 2nd Quarter Long Read. We'll probably get better participation with a three-month reading period.
