Question: if 'Ancient Rome' should be the chosen theme, do only books count which take place in Rome? Or is it allowed to read a book that takes place anywhere in the Roman empire (so that could be England, France, Italy, Spain and where ever those Romans reigned...)?

Elsbeth, no the book doesn't have to be set specifically in Rome. It can be set anywhere that was part of the Roman Empire. It can also be a book written by an ancient Roman author or a modern retelling of an ancient Roman work. Sorry for the confusion, I should have been more clear when I nominated it :)

That's alright. It was what I thought, but I just wanted to have it clear.
