I changed my vote because of a book I just received as a gift. Since I'm going to read it, I might as well vote for it's author.

Dang, I was hoping for someone who was breaking new ground in this decade, so I'd changed my vote to Ellison. I just changed it back, since it doesn't look like it will make much difference unless something changes drastically in the voting in the next few days. Not that there's anything wrong with Niven, he just seems more rooted in earlier decade's style. I'm finding it interesting how invested I am in the votes for this group. I don't pay much attention to other group votes. I guess I've found my Goodreads niche. :)
