Greg, looks like your #2 is in the top two (Vintage Howard). Strictly speaking Conan the Swordsman is all pastiche, but the Conan anthology is half-Howard. Pastiches may be okay for the discussion too (assuming that topic wins).
I had no idea there the "Sword and Planet" vibe was so strong. This may be a good time to read one of REH's few Sword & Planet stories:

I voted for Hell because I've read Heroes in Helland figured I could take place in the discussion for once. :) Since reading is part of my job, I rarely have time for pleasure reading any more. Luckily, I generally like what I need to read.
That said, I have a couple of unread Conan books -
