“Hey,” I said. “Do you know how to get back to Berta’s, uh… Bed… Birds, Baboons, Bandicoots, and Beyond?” I was rewarded by another giggle, and Kaz looked like she had just as many questions for me, but she didn’t know which to start with. “What are baboons and bandicoots?” she asked in a tone of extreme interest. “Oh, right.” I pondered this for a second. “I think those are more of a ‘show, don’t tell’ thing. We’ll save them for later.
I couldn’t make my feet move, and my hands hovered near Kaz’s sides without touching her. Every atom in my body was screaming at me to close the short distance between our bodies and pull her into my arms. I wanted to consume every bit of the Enchanted woman. To kiss every inch of her smooth skin, to taste her lips, and to hear her moans of pleasure as I made her cum.
“Eeeerrrr,” I groaned between tight lips at the rush of excitement in my chest, but I gripped my self-control because there was one more thing I needed to say. “What about protection?” The other main thing my parents had taught me was safe sex, and I was about to be too damn busy building a business and traveling the realms to have a child. Maybe in the future, but for now, it sure as fuck wasn’t on my to-do list.
She dressed in a pair of black yoga pants that hugged every curve of her legs, and she topped it with a shimmery gold halter top and a wine-red duster jacket she’d found on double clearance. The thing had been marked down twice and was only eight dollars, and it fit her body like it was made for her. The jacket was supposed to fall to a person’s knees, but on Kaz’s short frame, it fell all the way to her calves and gave a fun cape effect to the outfit. The whole outfit reminded me of something Marvel’s Scarlet Witch might wear if she was trying to be incognito.
“Here, Sam,” I mumbled to myself like I was a game show announcer, and I was revealing all the insane prizes at the end. “Have an inn. Guess what? It’s going to lead you to other worlds. There will be sexy women in them who need your help!” I scoffed at the absurdity of it all as I swept the cobwebs from the corners of the room. “But that’s not all!” I announced softly. “You’ll be paid a king’s ransom in gold for simple things that cost less than twenty bucks! You’ll make a fortune, and you’ll open a legitimate business in the inn itself!”
