Reaching up, John plucked a piece of the flame away, using mana to form it into an ornate ring that looked like lightning and fire entwined. Holding Ellie close once again, he held up the ring between them, a faint smile on his face. She still had her face turned away, but the blush on her cheeks couldn’t be hidden as he spoke softly in a voice only for her to hear. “Marry me, Ellie. Let’s be together forever.”
