“I didn’t say I was lost,” the girl protested. “I only said I didn’t know where I was. There’s a big difference. When you’re lost, you really don’t know where you are. When you just don’t happen to know where you are at the moment, that’s something else.
“No place in particular,” said Fflewddur. “That’s one advantage. You don’t have to hurry to get somewhere. You keep moving, and next thing you know, there you are.
“I don’t like being called ‘a girl’ and ‘this girl’ as if I didn’t have a name at all. It’s like having your head put in a sack.
“I can’t make sense out of that girl,” he said to the bard. “Can you?” “Never mind,” Fflewddur said. “We aren’t really expected to.”
