In this chapter he quotes Great Master Musai, who expressed his enlightened state saying, “Having finished a meal, I calmly look forward to a nap.” And then he quotes Zen Master Enchi Dai-an, who summed up the accomplishments of his life as a Buddhist master saying: “I lived on Isan mountain for thirty years, eating Isan meals, shitting Isan shit.”
